Stunning views, unbeatable location, and iconic architecture make The Wallace Venue stand out as one of the region’s best urban venues for private and corporate functions. Perched in the rafters of a replica of the historic Machine Shop building, The Wallace Venue perfectly blends a modern industrial aesthetic with its historic setting, and boasts an impressive 2,400 square foot terrace with unobstructed views of the harbour.
The Venue is named for Eliza Wallace, co-founder of the historic Wallace Shipyards, the site on which the venue is located. Eliza was a key member in the running of the shipyards with her husband and sons, and was instrumental in celebrating the launches of the victory ships that were built on the site. The earliest celebrations that took place on this site were planned in part by Eliza, and this venue celebrates her – a very important woman in the history of our vibrant neighbourhood.
